What is this blog about?
The blog is about a group of friends, playing CRPGs roughly in parallel and sharing their stories. There will also be some reviews and more general discussions regarding the genre, and the place each game on the list has in the history of RPGs.
What is a CRPG?
The acronym CRPG stands for Computer Role Playing Game. In my understanding, the term started being used somewhere in the mid-80s, when there was a need to differentiate RPGs you could play on your computer with the (at the time "normal") pen&paper (or tabletop) RPGs. Over time, the terms CRPG and RPG became interchangeable as a name for role-playing video games. This is how we use the term CRPG in this blog.
Who are you?
We are four friends, from different backgrounds, of different ages, with different lives, but the love for RPGs (and more importantly CRPGs) unites us all. You can read more about us on the page "About Us".
What's the purpose of this?
Just to have fun playing CRPGs, and talking about it. If this initiative entices more people to try the same, join our challenge, or simply participate in the discussions, we will have achieved our goals!
